Singapore’s Own ‘Northern Lights’: Singapore to Have its Own ‘Northern Lights’ at Gardens by the Bay! Soon, people in Singapore and visitors can see the beautiful Northern Lights, also called aurora borealis.

Seeing the Northern Lights is a special thing usually only seen in places like Norway, Iceland, and Finland. But on May 5, you can see them at Gardens by the Bay! There will be a new light show that will make you feel like you’re in a magical place with these amazing lights.

Singapore's Own 'Northern Lights'

Perfectly planned, the installation happens when the sun’s activity is at its highest in 2024. This means we’ll see the Northern Lights more than we have in over 20 years! The Straits Times got a special look on April 22 at how the artist from Switzerland, Dan Acher, made this amazing light show.

Using 30 lasers and special cloud machines carefully placed on the tall trees called Supertrees, Borealis makes an amazing copy of the Northern Lights around the Supertree Grove. They create this pretend “aurora” by sending laser beams through fake clouds made by the machines, making a dreamy atmosphere.

To make the experience even better, there’s also beautiful music playing along with the lights. A French composer named Guillaume Desbois made this dreamy soundtrack to make the whole experience even more special.

This amazing show has been in 40 cities all over Europe, Australia, the US, and Asia. Now, it’s coming to Gardens by the Bay. You can see it for free every Saturday and Sunday from 9 PM to 9:30 PM, and on Mondays from 8 PM to 8:30 PM. It’s a must-see!

Singapore’s Own ‘Northern Lights’: More about Gardens of the Bay
